Donald Trump’s rally in Georgia on Saturday was filled with mispronounced words and, according to Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign, “empty seats.”
Trump over the weekend spoke in Atlanta, at times attacking Georgia’s Republican governor. But it was the “empty seats” that many people were discussing after the ex-president finished.
Harris’ campaign took to X to brag about the Democratic candidate’s packed house at the same venue just days earlier.

“Trump, seething: Thereโs some empty seats up there… This is obviously a very liberal school I guess,” the campaign wrote on social media on Saturday.
In a separate post, the Harris campaign said, “Camera pans to show many empty seats as Trump is speaking (This arena was completely full during Vice President Harrisโ rally earlier this week).”
“Sad,” the campaign added along with dueling videos of the two political rallies that took place at the same school.
NPR’s Stephen Fowler took issue with the posts, saying, “The Harris campaign is using an outdated screen grab of a video feed to say thereโs a lot of empty seats at Trumpโs rally.”
“The only seats that are open right now as Trump is speaking are a few rows for press that are on risers/on the floor,” Fowler added. “Republicans (and Trump) also claim that Harrisโ rally was only full for Megan Thee Stallion and people left en masse when Harris was speaking – which isnโt true (The reality is that tons of people are excited for both candidates – and people leave early to avoid crowds to leave).”
Showing a video of people leaving the Trump rally while he was speaking, Fowler wrote, “Trump has been speaking for about 90 minutes now โ and some people have left! It happens everywhere, for both parties, with candidates of all level. Yet online outrage must persist.”
