Kentucky starters Lamont Butler and Jaxson Robinson are “genuine game-time decisions” for today’s game against South Carolina, ESPN’s Pete Thamel reports.
Head coach Mark Pope broke the news to Thamel this morning, adding that Robinson suffered a “brutal collision” during Friday’s practice that led to him hurting his wrist. Luckily, there is no fracture, but Thamel says Robinson has “not great mobility” in the wrist. The BYU transfer was a surprise addition to the SEC’s Availability Report on Friday night when he was listed as questionable. Butler, who has missed the Wildcats’ last three games, was also listed as questionable as he continues to trend toward a return.
We’ll know for sure if Robinson and/or Butler will give it a go once the SEC releases its final Availability Report later this morning.
Tipoff between Kentucky and South Carolina is set for noon EST on ESPN2.
