Fox News host Jesse Watters fumed that men who vote for Vice President Kamala Harris might as well turn in their man cards during a segment of “The Five” on Tuesday, discussing Harris’ wildly successful “White Dudes for Harris” livestream at the start of the week, which racked up millions of dollars from hundreds of thousands of donors.
“Now, I don’t see why any man would vote Democrat,” said Watters, who just a week previously was schooled for trying to claim Harris didn’t earn her position of power. “It’s not the party of virtue, security, it’s not the party of strength, it’s definitely not the party of family. And to be a man, and then vote for a woman, just because she’s a woman, is either childish, that person has Mommy issues, or they’re just trying to be accepted by other women. And I heard the scientists say the other day, that when a man votes for a woman, he actually transitions into a woman.”
Commenters on social media instantly reacted to Watters’ sardonic rant.
“Uh oh, fellas. Arbiter of Masculinity Jesse Watters has ruled we cannot vote for Democrats. This is quite the dilemma,” wrote USA Today opinion columnist Rex Huppke.
“Because not all men are insecure in their manhood and masculinity,” wrote the account @grace_hackney.
“Are conservative men OK?” asked national security attorney Bradley Moss.
“I don’t see why a man would have to let the air out of the tires of a young woman who works for him in order to force her to need a ride home from him so he could hit on her and eventually leave his wife and kids for her,” wrote podcaster JoJoFromJerz, referencing a bizarre story Watters has told about how he seduced his current wife.
“Jesse Watters is still living in the 1400s,” wrote the account @franklinisbored.
“This guy is a certified weirdo,” wrote the account @nycjaneyvee.
“Think of how far this guy has fallen since conducting racist interviews in Chinatown,” wrote the account @JohnnyMcNulty. “Not a whole lot, tbh. He always sucked.”
