Saquon Barkley has not played in front of a crowd of 100,000 fans in a football game since his time at Penn State. It appears Barkley will have a chance to play in front of a six-figure crowd again.

Reports are surfacing the NFL will schedule a regular season game in 2026 to be played in Australia. The first game in a reported multi-game scheduling plan will include the Philadelphia Eagles and the Los Angeles Rams. That will be the first NFL game to be played in Australia as the NFL continues to branch out to new countries.

This would be the second international game Barkley would play with the Eagles. He made his Eagles debut in the 2024 season opener in Brazil against the Green Bay Packers. Under his current contract with the Eagles, Barkley will be entering the final year of his contract with the Eagles. Barkley has also played internationally with the New York Giants, facing the Green Bay Packers England in 2022.

Considering the damage Barkley did in two games against the Rams in the 2024 regular season and the NFC divisional round, the Rams may want to see if they can get their hands on Barkley’s passport before the 2026 season. Barkley roasted the Rams for a career-high 255 yards in a regular season game in Los Angeles. Barkley then rushed for 205 yards in the Eagles’ postseason win over the Rams a couple of weeks ago to help send the Eagles to the NFC Championship Game. Barkley scored three rushing touchdowns in the Eagles’ NFC title game victory over the Washington Commanders. He will play in his first Super Bowl next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
