Notre Dame upset No. 3 Minnesota 4-1 to move on to the semifinals in the Big Ten tournament.
The Fighting Irish advanced by winning the third game of a best-of-three series against the Golden Gophers.
Goalie Owen Say had 38 saves in the win and four different Notre Dame skaters tallied a goal.
Minnesota outshot Notre Dame 8-1 early and had the first power play of the game, but the Irish, thanks to Say, held their ground before Jayden Davis put in a rebound out of midair with 17:25 gone.
Grant Silianoff was the next goal scorer for the Irish. Minnesota made it 2-1 at the 8:07 mark of the third period, but the Irish got it back to a two-goal lead after Cole Knuble found the net on a backhand at 7:51 in the third.
Hunter Strand added an empty-netter at 17:40 to put Minnesota away and give the Irish the upset.
Up next for Notre Dame is Michigan State. Notre Dame likely need to win the whole tournament and snag the automatic bid in order to get into the NCAA tournament.
